CBRE Managing Director David Funke will help us kick off the new year with his own inspirational “rags to riches” story, and share his unique view on the importance of becoming leaders ourselves before we try to lead others.

David’s story of the transformation of CBRE-Indianapolis will highlight:

  • The radical move to free-address workspace
  • Cultural transformation from “me” to a sense of being part of something special

You’ll learn more about what gets measured gets managed, but what would we do differently if we were measuring “what might have been”

  • In our career
  • In our organization

Plus a call to action personally and in our work— and how to make small changes in habits which result in radical transformation.

David Funke was appointed the Managing Director of the CBRE Indianapolis office in 2016. With oversight of CBRE’s full spectrum of service offerings—including advisory and transactions, capital markets and enterprise facilities management—he leads the delivery of these services to clients throughout the Indianapolis area.  David's broad industry knowledge and excellent leadership helps drive exceptional outcomes for CBRE’s Indianapolis-area clients and employees.

As Certified Public Accountant who worked for Deloitte in Cincinnati and Denver, David has served institutional clients and private investors at CBRE and in the commercial division of F.C. Tucker Co. (now Cushman & Wakefield), and as an entrepreneur founder/co-founder of three Indianapolis-based commercial real estate companies focused on brokerage, development, and private-equity investment and asset management.
