Construction on the Neurodiagnostic Institute and Advanced Treatment Center is in the final stages, but IFMA members and guests have a unique opportunity to tour this state-of-the-art facility before it opens to patients.

Located on the Community East Hospital campus, the facility will be a key component of the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration’s initiative to modernize and reengineer Indiana’s network of state-operated mental health facilities.  With the establishment of the new institute, Indiana will be better equipped to deliver expert neuro-diagnostic evaluations and treatment for patients upon their arrival, enabling them to be moved into the most appropriate treatment settings within the state’s mental health hospital system.

Tour participants will get a behind-the-scenes look at the building and will hear from some of the players instrumental in its design, construction and use -- including discussion of EcoDomus Facility Management software.  EcoDomus is an information technology platform founded on BIM for the management of projects and facilities, specifically building assets such as building systems and equipment.  NDI is the first state-owned building to utilize this technology, and NDI Facility Manager Jeff Babb will discuss how it will be applied.

Presenters:  Augie Ziccarelli, Project Executive, Pepper Construction; Jeff Babb, Facility Manager, NDI; and Diana Ricks, Interior Designer, Four Point Design

Parking is in the surface lot of the NDI as you enter off of 16th St.  Use the main entrance, we will be meeting in the lobby.  Appetizers and networking will immediately follow the tour.

SPECIAL NOTE:  As this is still an active construction site in some areas, all tour participants will be required to wear PPE (hard hat, safety vest & glasses and closed toe shoes).  We will provide PPE but feel free to bring your own if you have access to it.
